Geography of Warsaw
24% of the city area in Warsaw is greenery. After sight seeing in the city it's worth to visit the attractive tourist destinations surrounding Warsaw to relax in the nature. The Kampinoski Park is located northwest from the city. You can reach it easily by PKS bus departing from the main bus station. The entry is free to the park and it's open from dawn to dusk. The features in the park are the walking trails, rich wildlife, inland sand dunes and raised bogs. It's worth to visit also Łazienki Park and Bielanski Park giving home to wild animals. Bicycle trails lead to more distant areas along the Vistula river. In Mazovia there are many possibilities to water sports, fishing and horse-riding. Also ethnographic museums offer interesting sights as rural houses, agricultural implements, furniture, domestic appliances and regional costumes.
